Bilbao

One of the most visited cities at this time of the year is Bilbao. One alternative is to take a trip to La Arboleda, a natural area that will make you feel like you're in another country.
Located in the Trapagaran Valley, it was once one of the most important iron mining sites in the area. Nowadays, the old mines have been converted into artificial reservoirs, making this the perfect place to spend a morning outside the city of Bilbao. Here you will also find an open-air museum called La Arboleda Sculpture Park.
It is just over 20 minutes by car from the city centre, so it is a perfect plan for those who already know the city.

Valencia

Another option is to take one last trip to the beach, maybe you're lucky, and the weather is nice, and you can enjoy one last swim in Valencia.

Salamanca

Salamanca, another destination to fall in love with at this time of year! You can take advantage of this getaway to enjoy rural tourism in the surrounding areas, such as the Bosque de Honfría or the Senda de los Castaños Centenarios.

And, another of the classics, you must cross the Roman bridge over the Tormes River to marvel at unparalleled views of the city.

And the last destination on this list of weekend getaways for this autumn is: Madrid. A city that is always a good choice, and even more so at this time of year with an ideal temperature.
