Cathedral of Valencia

The entrance to the cathedral is free, although it is worth paying the 2.5€ to climb its famous Miguelete, the bell tower of the cathedral that measures 70 meters and has a spiral staircase with 207 steps.

Lonja de la Seda

On your weekend in Valencia you should also visit the Lonja de la Seda, a 15th century Gothic style building that was used as a meeting place for merchants. It is located in the Ciutat Vella and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1996. The entrance fee is 2€.

Horchata and fartons

One of the other things you can't miss in your weekend in Valencia is drinking horchata de chufa, tigernut milk, accompanied by fartons, the typical sweet of the city of Alboraya. They are soft, elongated buns with sugar on top, absolutely delicious!

Eat a paella
